On The Wall

Artists Lisandra T Di Liberto Brown, Eric Francis and Wil Brown have been chosen to take on the walls of artspace in an exhibition titled On The Wall. This is the first exhibition where artists are painting large-scale artworks directly on the walls of the mainspace floor of artspace. 

Beginning Thursday, January 11, the public is invited to watch the artists' work in progress from the window Parish Taceaux.

“On the Wall” at artspace is open all day (Jan 20), noon to 6:00 p.m., and golf carts will take you to and from the Central ARTSTATION and artspace. 

Celebrate with Downtown Shreveport on January 20, 2018, from noon to 6:00 p.m. with a walking or golf cart tour of the 20 framed blankets. Return to ARTSTATION and the Engine Room to hear performances from “AS IS” and “UNTIL” by Nick Cave, enjoy food truck offerings and hot cider. Then meet the artists and tour the newest artspace exhibition opening of “ON THE WALL” beginning at 4:00 p.m. The framed blankets are a permanent installation throughout the Shreveport Common neighborhood and can be toured complete with audio performances of the history and creation of the blankets on your own anytime by downloading the FREE Shreveport Common App. UNcommon, UNparallelled, and UNSCENE!
