Rachel Stuart-Hass, Joshua Chambers, and Taffie Cragon Garsee
The final art exhibition in the Critics Series at artspace brings together three artists, each initially chosen by a different critic for a solo show during the past two years. These artists are shown together for the first time in a thematic exhibition curated by Robert L. Pincus, PhD, the organizing critic for this series. The works will include some seen in the solo exhibitions and others made since those original shows were presented.

With three Emmy’s and numerous other awards to his name, Wayne White displays his unique artistic mind through visually stunning, larger than life three-dimensional work paintings. These painstakingly integrated words are his exploration of the language of painting and the sanctity of humor.
Dystopian Garden
Taffie Cragon Garsee
Winner of the Critical Mass 2 Best in Show award, Taffie was selected by Arts Critic Susan Larson for a solo show. In her exhibition “Dystopian Garden”, Taffie uses artwork to convey scenarios in human existence from the perspective of something smaller, to prompt the viewer to take a way the nature of a situation rather than the politics of it.
Cheesecake girls
Mindy Bledsoe & Rachel Stuart-Hass
The term “cheesecake” was coined when a photographer got a glimpse of a woman’s ankle and exclaimed, “it was better than cheesecake!” In this Pin-up-esque exhibition, photographer Mindy Bledsoe and Painter Rachel Stuart-Hass cook up a visual concoction that is “better than cheesecake”.
A Better Life for All: Traditional Arts of Louisiana’s Immigrant Communities
Featuring Offrendas by Conchita Iglesias McElwee
This traveling exhibit from the Louisiana State Museum and the Louisiana Division of the Arts Folklife Program explored the traditional arts and practices of immigrant cultural communities of the state through documentation of dance, music, crafts, traditional foods, and celebrations or rituals that people bring to a new home.

Generationless is an exhibition created by internationally renowned skateboard champion and artist, Steve Olson, and features artworks created by 9 artists who are skateboarders from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s; plus skateboard decks painted by area artists donated by SANTA CRUZ & PS STIX Skateboards.
